The use of batteries
1. If the battery is not used for a long time, it will slowly discharge on its own until it is scrapped. Therefore, the car should be started every specific time to charge the battery. Another method is to unplug the two electrodes from the battery. It is important to note that the positive and negative electrode wires should be unplugged from the electrode posts. First, unplug the negative electrode wire or remove the connection between the negative electrode and the car chassis. Then remove the other end with the positive symbol (+), as the battery has a specific lifespan and needs to be replaced at a specific time. When replacing, the above order should also be followed, but when connecting the electrode wires, the order is exactly the opposite: first connect the positive electrode, and then connect the negative electrode.
When the ammeter pointer shows insufficient battery storage, it should be charged in a timely manner. The storage capacity of the battery can be reflected on the dashboard. Sometimes during the journey, it is found that the battery level is insufficient and the engine cannot be started. As a temporary measure, you can seek help from other vehicles and use their batteries to start the vehicle. Connect the negative and negative terminals of the two batteries, and the positive and negative terminals.
3. The density of the electrolyte should be adjusted according to the standards for different regions and seasons.
4. When the electrolyte is depleted, distilled water or specialized replenishment solution should be added. Avoid using purified drinking water instead. Because pure water contains multiple trace elements, it can have adverse effects on batteries.
5. When starting the car, continuous use of the starter can cause damage to the battery due to excessive discharge. The correct usage method is to start the car for a total time of no more than 5 seconds, and the interval between restarts should not be less than 15 seconds. In the case of multiple starts without starting the vehicle, the cause should be identified from other aspects such as the circuit, ignition coil, or oil circuit.
6. During daily driving, it is necessary to regularly check whether the small hole on the battery cover is ventilated. If the small hole in the battery cover is blocked, the generated hydrogen and oxygen cannot be discharged. When the electrolyte expands, it will break the battery casing and affect the battery life.
7. Check for signs of oxidation on the positive and negative terminals of the battery. You can often use hot water to pour water on the electrical connections of the battery
